Sale Contract / Health Guarantee

We at Blue Yonder Kennel aim for excellence in the selection, breeding and care of all our dogs. We have done everything that we can through selective breeding to produce sound, quality puppies and to deliver that puppy to you in a healthy and robust condition, that will give you years of joy and companionship. We have observed these fine health, well-being and superior reproduction results obtained by good nutritional practices. You, the new owner, are reaping the benefits of our endeavors and hard work.

We have made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. This puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery. We guarantee this puppy is purebred and registerable with AKC. We guarantee that all vaccinations and wormings have been given as stated.

For the protection of the purchaser, and we, the breeder, and for this health guarantee to become effective, we, at Blue Yonder Kennel, request that you take your new puppy to be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession AND that a copy of the health certificate or exam results be sent to us. If said puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary congenital defect or any major health problem at this exam, a replacement puppy only, of equal value, will be given, provided that the seller is notified within 24 hours of the exam AND said puppy is returned to us at buyer’s expense. However, we may not have a puppy available at the time and you may need to wait until a future litter is available. This puppy MUST be returned to us, the breeder, along with the AKC registration papers, within 48 hours, at no expense to the breeder, with a signed document from two (2) non-associated licensed veterinarians stating the defect or problem. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer. However, if you do choose to keep said puppy, and wish to purchase a replacement puppy from a future litter, you will be allowed to purchase a puppy from any future litter within 2 years with a $300 credit towards the new puppy. Please inform us of your choice. If the buyer does not take said puppy to a licensed veterinarian within the stated 72 hours from the date of purchase, AND forward certificate or exam findings to us, this warranty becomes null and void!

Some disorders may be caused by environmental factors, therefore infectious diseases are NOT covered by our health guarantee, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to after it leaves our home. Some examples include kennel cough, cancer, mange, allergies, etc. This guarantee also does not include injuries of any kind, fleas, mites, kennel cough or any other intestinal worms/parasites, as they are common in dogs and puppies. This guarantee does not include uneven bites, undescended testicles, murmurs, or hernias. We also cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just like a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develop any health issues in the future. Our dogs are not exposed to infectious diseases, therefore we are free of diseases and health problems here.

No guarantee is made as to ability to breed, size, coat quality, temperament or adaptability. If at any time during said puppy’s life, you are unable to keep him/her, please inform us and return to us, the original breeder, at no expense to Blue Yonder Kennel, with all AKC registration papers, health records, etc. I also understand that all puppies from Blue Yonder are sold on LIMITED registration. All puppies come with AKC registration papers, however the limited registration means that no offspring of this dog/bitch are eligible for registration.  There are exceptions on limited registration for breeding/show rights, so please ask FIRST, I'll be happy to discuss FULL registration options! Our dogs are ONLY AKC registered and we do not want any of our puppies registered with any other registry. We encourage spay or neuter at the appropriate time for your puppy, within it's first year. When you do so, please notify us by forwarding the veterinary records and/or bills or proof of services.

Your puppy is guaranteed for one (1) year from the date of birth against life threatening congenital defects making him/her unsuitable as a pet. IF within that time a life threatening congenital defect (not to include parvo virus, distemper virus, heartworms or any nutritional related disease), is attested to by two (2) non-associated veterinarians and the reason is congenital, the breeder will replace the puppy with another puppy of same quality, IF our veterinarian agrees with the required written reports, from the two (2) non-associated veterinarians. The breeder must be notified at the onset of the problem and the written reports with diagnosis MUST be supplied to the breeder within 7 days from the two non-associated veterinarians. The replacement will be subject to availability and only after affected puppy is returned to us, at NO expense to us, the breeder. However, if you do choose to keep said puppy, and wish to purchase a replacement puppy from a future litter, you will be allowed to purchase a puppy from any future litter within 2 years with a $300 credit towards new puppy. Please inform us of your choice. We do not refund money. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer. We will not be responsible for illness or any health problems, which are diagnosed after these time periods.

This contract is valid only for the original buyer that purchased the puppy from us, the original breeder, at Blue Yonder Kennel. If the puppy is transferred to another owner, this contract becomes null and void. This contract becomes null and void if ANY of these terms and conditions, as stated, are not fulfilled.
