Blue Yonder Kennel Health Guarantee

We at Blue Yonder Kennel aim for excellence in the selection, breeding and care of all our dogs. We have done everything that we can through selective breeding to produce sound, quality puppies and to deliver that puppy to you in a healthy and robust condition, that will give you years of pleasure and companionship. We have observed these fine health, well-being and superior reproduction results obtained by good nutritional practices. You, the new owner, are reaping the benefits of our endeavors and hard work.

We have made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. This puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery. We guarantee this puppy is purebred and registerable with AKC. We guarantee that all vaccinations and wormings have been given as stated.

For the protection of the purchaser and we, the breeder, and for this health guarantee to become effective, we, at Blue Yonder Kennel, request that you take your new puppy to be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of taking possession. If this puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary congenital defect or any major health problem at this exam, a replacement puppy only, of equal value, will be given, provided that the seller is notified within 24 hours after the exam. However, we may not have a puppy available at the time and you may need to wait until a future litter is available. This puppy must be returned to the breeder along with the AKC registration papers within 24 hours, at no expense to the breeder, with a signed document from two non associated licensed veterinarians stating the defect or problem. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer. If the buyer does not take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within the stated 48 hours from date of purchase, this warranty becomes null and void.

Some disorders may be caused by environmental factors, therefore infectious diseases are NOT covered by our health guarantee, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to after it leaves our home. Some examples include kennel cough, cancer, mange, allergies, etc. This guarantee also does not include injuries of any kind, fleas, mites, kennel cough or any other intestinal worms/parasites, as they are common in dogs and puppies. This guarantee does not include uneven bites, undescended testicals, murmurs, or hernias. We also cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just like a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develop any health issues in the future. Our dogs are not exposed to infectious diseases, therefore are free of diseases and health problems.

If we ship a dog to you, we guarantee the health of the puppy when he or she is placed on the transport.  This is guaranteed by virtue of the fact that a veterinarian's interstate health certificate is required by law to ship a dog across state lines.  However, we cannot guarantee the health of the dog after it gets on the transport, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to in transit.  Certainly, all the animals on the transport have to have an interstate veterinarian health certificate, though, so exposure should be minimal.

No guarantee is made as to ability to breed, show quality, size, coat quality, temperament or adaptability. We do not replace if your puppy does not "fit" into your lifestyle, or does not get along with your other dogs or animals, nor do we replace for any other reason including but not limited to moving, housing requirements, or your inability to take care of your puppy for any reason.

Your puppy is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of birth against life threatening congenital defects making him/her unsuitable as a pet. If within that time a life threatening congenital defect (not to include parvo virus, distemper virus, heartworms or any nutritional related disease) is attested to by two non-associated veterinarians and the reason is congenital, the breeder will replace the puppy with another puppy of same breed, quality and price, IF our veterinarian agrees with the required written reports, from the two non-associated licenses veterinarians. The breeder must be notified at the onset of the problem and the written reports with diagnosis must be supplied to the breeder within 7 days from the two non-associated veterinarians. The replacement will be subject to availability. We do not refund money. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer. We will not be responsible for illness or any health problems, which are diagnosed after these time periods.

Your puppy has been on a vaccination and de-worming schedule here and is up to date. These records and AKC registration papers will be provided to you. It is very important to continue with these vaccinations and wormings after you get your puppy home. You, the buyer, agree to ensure your puppy’s good health and to keep our guarantee in effect by taking good care of the puppy and providing good food, housing, medical care and a loving environment. Please remember that puppies are babies and they need lots of tender loving care.

This contract is valid only for the original buyer that purchased the puppy from the breeder. If the puppy is transferred to another owner, this contract becomes null and void. This contract is null and void if any of the terms and conditions stated are not fulfilled.

This contract must be completed and signed and returned to us, Chris and Amy Carrier of Blue Yonder Kennel, within one week of shipping puppy or on the date of pick up. By signature below, you, the buyer, acknowledges and understands the guidelines listed in this contract and agree to abide.
